Aita recently shared his piperade recipe with us, and now he wants to show you how he mixes a Picon Punch.

This classic Basque cocktail of the American West is popular with Basque Americans but can’t be found in bars in the Basque Country. That’s because it was invented by Basque immigrants in the United States. It’s a staple at old Basque boardinghouse bars in California and Nevada.

To make this cocktail, Amer Picon is combined with soda water, grenadine, and a splash of brandy on top. I hope you enjoy this video‘s virtual happy hour with Aita.

I wanted there to be a resource on YouTube for anyone searching about Basque culture to learn more about it, so I hope this video is helpful and interesting.
