Since I got home from the Basque Country, I’ve been immersed in designing, testing, and publishing new products for the Hella Basque shop. It makes it hard for me to think of interesting Basque topics to write about this week.
My brain is swimming in holiday gift giving and what is the best way to serve you guys. It’s all I think about. It’s all I talk about. It’s making me a very boring person.
Right now the Hella Basque store has some collections of apparel, accessories, phone accessories, and home items. I’m working on expanding these offerings to give you more options this holiday season.

You may have seen on social media that I’m going to the Basque Country in October for the 7th World Congress of Basque Groups Abroad.
I’ve been trying to balance Hella Basque and my everyday life this month with a little more difficulty than usual. Some new opportunities came my way at work, so I’ve been spending more time on non-Hella Basque projects.
I had hopes of scheduling a whole bunch of blog posts and videos ahead of my trip, so that you guys would have a fresh stream of content while I’m documenting my time in the Basque Country. But life didn’t work out that way this month, and I haven’t had the time.

Yesterday we got word that Paul Dominique Laxalt, former US senator and governor of Nevada, has passed away at the age of 96.
The son of Basque immigrants, Laxalt rose to the heights of US political power throughout his career and served as the trusted advisor of President Ronald Reagan. He was the brother of well-known author, Robert Laxalt, and the grandfather of current Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt.
As a tribute to Paul Laxalt and his legacy, we have compiled this infographic to share.
